Kosmos Post Feature Film Trailer Grant

 

The Kosmos Post Feature Film Trailer Grant is open to all filmmakers who meet the criteria listed in our eligibility section below.

 

Faith and Family Filmmakers Association, together with Kosmos Post, will select qualified filmmakers who will receive up to $2,000 in editorial services for their film trailer. This grant aims to support the marketing and distribution of high-quality, faith-based feature films.

 

Eligibility

• Applicants must be the director or producer of a feature-length fiction film in the faith and family films genre.

• Applicants must be a current Faith and Family Filmmakers Association Member.

• Qualifying films include: original works of fiction (not Biblical reenactments or adaptations); must be appropriate for most viewing audiences (not R rated films).

• The film must be in post-production by the application deadline.

• A full script of the film must be submitted with the application.

• If awarded, grant winner(s) must use Kosmos Post post-production services for the entirety of the trailer.

• Applications are accepted from June 26, 2025 through August 23, 2025.

• Applicants agree to Kosmos Post using the trailer for their own marketing purposes.

 

The recipient of this year’s grant will receive:

• Ingesting original camera masters

• I/O Data Management

• x3 assembly trailer options - x15 hour package

• x1 Unsupervised Online Conform for trailer assembly of choice

• 4K Rec709 Color Correction – x5 hour package to be completed on a calibrated monitor

• x1 Trailer Credits build (opening credits and end card;) Subtitles are not included in titling package and filmmakers are responsible for all subtitles/subtitling)

• x1 Final master ProRes Quicktime

 

How to Apply

To be considered for the Kosmos Post Film Trailer Grant, qualifying filmmakers must apply on the Faith and Family Filmmakers Association website. Applicants must complete the online application form, which includes:

 

• $25 application fee

• 3-5 minute video explaining your interest in the award and why you feel a Kosmos Post editorial package is best suited to your production needs and artistic vision (unedited, talking-head)

• Plan for project’s post-production timeline, financing and distribution strategy

• Project status and history, including any awards the project has received, artist development programs the project has participated in, etc.

• Top-sheet of budget

• A copy of the script

• Logline and synopsis

• Bios of key cast and crew

 

Filmmakers understand that if selected, in order to receive the grant, they will be required to sign an agreement with Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association, and must use Kosmos Post’s post-production services for the trailer.

 

In addition, they must allow Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association access to assets and to capture testimonials (print, photo and video) in conjunction with this program for promotional purposes. Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association will work with filmmakers to ensure public release of these materials is aligned with the film’s marketing and PR strategy.

 

Filmmakers will recognize Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association in the trailer credits with the official Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association logos everywhere the trailer is exhibited.

 

Filmmakers will provide full online turnover delivered to Kosmos Post according to standard turnover specs. Any additional scope of work beyond the above will be negotiated at Kosmos Post standard market rates. Grant package does NOT include any overtime or weekend work – all work will be completed on straight time with schedule dependent on artist availability.

 

Selection Process

Grant recipients will be chosen by Kosmos Post and Faith and Family Filmmakers Association.
